NGV'S 'BEST OF THE BEST' 2016
We had the privilege of working with renowned artist Julia deVille at NGV's Best of the Best event. Famous for her cruelty free taxidermy and unique jewellery design, the aim was to create a look that complemented her work without distracting from it. We used deep burgundies, blacks and textural foliage and flowers to help Julia conceptualise the sentiment of death that features in most of her work. While it is not always easy to encapsulate an idea with flowers we feel that nature lent itself to Julia's work allowing for a dramatic and exciting dining experience.
North St Botanical are conjurers of alchemical floral magic. I want to cover every surface of my home, studio and showroom with their efflorescent masterpieces.
